Co-authored the code diverting customer funds to Alameda; also a major conduit for FTX's straw-donor political money on the Democratic side. Pleaded guilty Feb 2023 to six counts including conspiracy to violate campaign-finance law, cooperated, and in 2024 was sentenced to time served. His EA framing — doing fraud to fund good causes — became the movement's central moral wound.
